A Läderach Deputy (Assistant) Store Manager assists in supervising employees, exemplifies excellent customer service, and leads training initiatives. The ideal candidate is a chocolate enthusiast with proven experience in retail management and staff leadership. This role supports the Store Manager and Regional Manager in achieving store goals and quotas.
What you can expect in this role
- Lead an outstanding in-store customer experience and motivate staff to deliver top-tier service
- Assist in managing product sales, register duties, shop and shelf care, gift packaging, and order fulfillment
- Ensure accurate product merchandising and adherence to food safety protocols
- Help schedule staff shifts and coordinate store meetings and events
- Support the Store Manager in managing inventory and merchandising accuracy
- Contribute to maintaining store compliance and loss prevention standards
- Act as a key communicator of corporate values to customers and staff
- Manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager
What we expect from you
- At least one year of retail experience with increasing responsibilities (e.g., from associate to shift lead or assistant manager)
- Strong leadership, staff management, and customer service skills
- Reliable with a flexible schedule, including availability for extended hours, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in computer skills such as email, Microsoft 365, data entry, spreadsheets, and POS systems
- Detail-oriented and quality-minded
- Proactive and efficient
- Passionate about chocolate
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain active and stand for long hours, often walking or standing in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to move quickly between tasks, assist multiple customers, and handle unexpected changes like restocking or reorganizing displays
- Physical agility for multitasking and staying organized
- Ability to bend, squat, reach high, and maintain cleanliness in the store
- Ability to lift 15-40 pounds as needed
