Job description

To support the implementation of the AOC SMS program and accident prevention, work in conjunction with designated officials from the Authorities to ensure the safety of the ASLI Operation in accordance with applicable regulation and company standards. The Deputy Safety Manager also acts as Part 145/CAMO Safety Manager. The Safety Manager Part 145/CAMO position is a nominated Post Holder and must be acceptable to the IAA.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of data gathered through mandatory and voluntary feedback.
  2. Assist in managing, administering, and developing the Safety Management System to facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment, and management.
  3. Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan, unless action follow-up is addressed by the compliance monitoring function.
  4. Provide periodic reports on safety performance to the safety review board (SAG).
  5. Ensure the maintenance of safety management documentation.
  6. Ensure safety training is available and meets acceptable standards.
  7. Provide advice on safety matters.
  8. Assist in developing applicable Safety bulletins or notices.
  9. Ensure the initiation and follow-up of internal and external occurrence investigations.
  10. Develop and conduct safety surveys.
  11. Work with Executive Management to ensure that the safety policy and safety objectives are current, relevant, and regularly reviewed.
  12. Stay updated with aviation safety developments and relevant field advancements.
  13. Maintain competence through continued education and training, facilitated by the company.
