Job summary

Compugen Inc in York Region, Richmond Hill is seeking a Refurbishment Technician to prepare IT equipment for reuse or resale. You will perform imaging, data wiping, and hardware/software upgrades while supporting end users across various operating systems.

You will lead project tasks as needed, document customer processes, and maintain vendor certifications. This role supports after-hours work and involves lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance.
• Ability to pass Security Clearance check is required.
• 1-2 years of related experience and education in a relevant program of study from an accredited institution, as well as experience with current operating systems
• High School Diploma is required
• Comptia A+ Certification is an asset
• Experience with POS, Servers, Switches, Routers and Wi-Fi is an Asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by maintaining contractual service levels
• Function as a Site leader on project assignments, As required
• Utilize your experience and knowledge for customer documentation development
• Perform hardware warranty and non-warranty repairs of desktops and notebooks
• Perform imaging and re-imaging of workstation operating systems and applications
• Provide end-user support and assistance on various operating systems and applications
• Execute complex moves, adds, changes of computer equipment
• Complete complex hardware and/or software upgrades to existing equipment
• Perform network connections for desktops and printers
• Support and service customers with POS, Servers, Switches, Routers and Wi-Fi
• Maintain; or ability to attain, major vendor certifications
• Maintain your Comptia certifications
• After hours support as required
