Job summary

The Home Depot in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Department Supervisor to lead and inspire associates, building strong relationships with customers and peers to achieve top-line sales through solid merchandising and product knowledge.

You will manage staffing, coach performance, review reports with the assistant manager to improve inventory and cross merchandising, and maintain in-stock levels while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience as a supervisor / leading teams.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent decision making and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire associates to build relationships with customers, associates and peers to provide exceptional service and drive sales.
• Ensure department staffing levels meet business needs.
• Develop and manage associate performance through coaching, feedback and recognition.
• Review sales and other reports with the assistant manager and make recommendations to improve inventory and cross merchandising.
• Maintain 100% in stock and overhead organizational plans.
• Investigate, resolve and escalate customer issues as appropriate.
• Communicate store sales, events and promotions through rallies and department meetings.
• Ensure all Safety and Asset Protection standards are followed.
