Join to apply for the Dental Receptionist - Float role at Clinica Sierra Vista.

This position serves as a focal point for the appointment system at the Dental Clinic and is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of patients throughout the Clinic’s services. The Receptionist makes appointments based on protocols, directs patients to providers, and manages scheduling for all providers. The role requires independence, prioritization skills, and confidentiality.

Essential Functions:
  1. Greet and register patients.
  2. Verify insurance eligibility and income to determine fee schedules.
  3. Check patients in and notify the back office.
  4. Schedule appointments according to protocols.
  5. Assess walk-in patients and schedule them accordingly.
  6. Answer and direct incoming calls.
  7. Review daily route slips for accuracy.
  8. Confirm next day’s appointments.
  9. Handle patient payments and record transactions.
  10. Scan documents as needed.
  11. Follow deposit procedures.
  12. Maintain regular attendance.
  13. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least 18 years old.
  3. Preferred: 2+ years experience in healthcare setting.
  4. Knowledge of community and communication skills.
  5. Belief in healthcare with dignity for all.
  6. Valid CA driver’s license, clean driving record, active auto insurance.
