Job summary

Spryfield Dentistry in Halifax is seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to provide comprehensive preventive care and patient education. You will perform scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride applications, sealants and whitening, while delivering a personalized patient experience.

The role requires a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree, current provincial registration, and CPR certification. Join a team using modern technology and a patient-centered approach in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required.
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care.
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients.
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling.
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour.
