Job summary

Mayflower DentalGroup in Cape Breton, NS is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist for part-time coverage. You will provide preventative dental hygiene services including scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride, sealants and whitening, while delivering patient education.

The role emphasizes patient experience, ethical conduct, and building loyalty. Requirements include a Dental Hygiene Diploma/Degree, current registration, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required.
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist with the provincial regulatory body is required.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planing, polishing, topical fluoride, sealants and whitening
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while maintaining ethical and professional behaviour

With our 7 clinic locations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – we are able to provide a solidinternal patient referral program, dental hygiene program, excellent support system for expanding your skill set and the opportunityto learn among a very talented group of Dental Professionals. We use the most up to date equipment and technologies within ourgroup of clinics. Our laboratory is located in our Mayflower Dental location in the Mayflower Mall, Sydney, NS and serves all seven of our locations needs.

Schedule:

• Part-time, 2-3 days per week
• No Weekends
• Flexible Schedule to meet your availability
• Open to temp coverage/long term or temporary
• Open 5 days per week, Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• 8 hour days, 8:00 AM start or 11:00 AM start

Your Role:

• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour

About You:

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degreeisrequired
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory bodyisrequired
• Valid CPR certificationisrequired
