Job summary

Medline Canada is seeking a field service technician to ensure dental equipment operates correctly across the Northern BC territory. You will troubleshoot, repair, install equipment, and support maintenance contracts, delivering reliable service to dental offices.

You must travel daily within the territory, lift up to 50 lbs, and work evenings/weekends for emergencies. The role requires 3+ years in equipment repair, mechanical/electrical skills, and strong customer service, with a valid Canadian

Qualifications

• Dental Equipment Manufacturer certification training is a huge asset.
• Certification, Diploma or Degree in mechanical, electrical, small machine repair is an asset.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience repairing equipment.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or plumbing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving.
• Able to prioritize and organize work schedule with limited supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to service requests.
• Follow through on commitments to customers and internal colleagues.
• Listening to customer issues.
• Communicating client service information with the Sales Representatives and the Service Coordinators.
• Completing work orders.
• Maintaining appropriate tools, supplies and parts within vehicle.
• Documenting equipment issues and completed repairs.
• Diagnosing equipment issues and arranging for required parts, supplies or tools.
• Communicating equipment issues and recommended repairs to the customers.
• Adjusting, repairing or calibrating equipment based on manufacturer’s specifications.
• Following through on maintenance contracts.
• Providing follow up support within committed timelines.
• Verifying equipment is set to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Selling maintenance contracts.
• Reporting incidents, injuries or near misses.
• Conducting oneself in accordance with company policies.
• Participating in ongoing educational programs.
