Ottawa West Dental in Ottawa, ON, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a replacement role, offering a $28-$30/hour wage, working Tue–Fri mornings to afternoons. Join a patient-centered team dedicated to exceptional care with modern technology and opportunities for professional growth.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X‑rays, maintain infection control, update charts, and support scheduling and patient care education in a compliant, collaborative

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body.
• 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IPAC standards and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow and other administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
• Adhere to privacy, safety and regulatory guidelines.
