Job summary

West End Dental Centre, part of the Dentalcorp Canada family, is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to join our team in Mississauga. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, and maintain infection control and patient comfort.

You will update charts, support scheduling, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care. Legally eligible to work in Canada; NDAEB preferred; prior experience valued.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or certified with provincial regulatory body.
• NDAEB preferred.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

Monday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• NDAEB is preferred.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
