Job summary

Kingswood Dentistry in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our community-focused practice on a replacement basis. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, and handle X‑rays and IPAC workflows to keep care efficient and comfortable for patients.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Schedule:

Monday: 10.00am - 7.00pm

Tuesday: 10.00am - 6.00pm

Wednesday: 11.00am - 6.00pm

Thursday: 11.00am - 7.00pm

Alternate Friday: 9.00am - 3.00pm

Alternate Saturday: 9.00am - 3.00pm

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$25-$28/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
