Job summary

Kingswood Dentistry in Barrie is hiring a Dental Assistant to join a community-focused practice that values teamwork and exceptional patient care. You will prepare rooms, assist the dentists and hygienists, and ensure high standards of infection control and patient comfort.

The role requires registration or certification as a Dental Assistant with the provincial body; previous experience is preferred. This is a replacement position with a supportive team and modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

• Monday: 10.00am - 7.00pm
• Tuesday: 10.00am - 6.00pm
• Wednesday: 11.00am - 6.00pm
• Thursday: 11.00am - 7.00pm
• Alternate Friday: 9.00am - 3.00pm
• Alternate Saturday: 9.00am - 3.00pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$28/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

About You
