Job summary

Birchmount Dental Group in Scarborough and Barrie is seeking a Full-Time Dental Assistant. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, and support patient education and care, while upholding IPAC standards.

The role offers a competitive wage of 25–30 CAD per hour, with opportunities for ongoing learning and career growth within a modern practice using advanced technology.

Schedule: Full-Time

• Monday: 11:00am - 7:00pm.
• Tuesday: 8:30am - 6:00pm.
• Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:30pm.
• Thursday: 8:30am - 9:30pm.
• Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm.
• One Saturday per month from September to May.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
