Job summary

Toothworks Fairview Park Dental in Kitchener, Ontario, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, maintain a sterile, efficient workflow, and ensure a positive patient experience.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take dental X-rays, update charts, and help with scheduling while following IPAC standards and privacy guidelines. Registration with the provincial regulatory body and eligibility to work in Canada are required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
