Job summary

DDS Collingwood is a patient-focused dental practice seeking a qualified dental assistant to join our team in Collingwood, Canada. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, and maintain infection control following IPAC standards. Strong patient communication and teamwork are essential.

Registered or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your provincial regulatory body is required. Prior dental assisting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your provincial regulatory body.
• Prior dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene.
• Support scheduling and patient flow.

Monday 9am-5pm

Tuesday 9am-5pm

Wednesday 8am-4pm

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$27-$29/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment


• Assistdentists and hygienists during treatments,maintainingpatient comfort and workflow


• Take dental X-rays and digital images asrequired


• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards


• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care


• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks


• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care


• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines


• Establish strong patient relationships whilemaintainingethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and/orCertified as aDental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or associationisrequired


• Previousdentalassistingexperience is preferred
