Job summary

Dawson Dental Rosedale in Toronto is hiring a part-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists. You will prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and maintain infection control while delivering patient education and comfort.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and a compassionate patient experience in a modern practice. Registered and/or certified dental assistant with provincial credentials is required; previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $24-$28/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. Please note that this is a replacement job opening.
