Job summary

Delta Hotels Dartmouth by Marriott is seeking a Banquet Server to join our hotel team. You will support banquet and catering events, setting up rooms, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction while upholding hotel standards.

Ideal candidates have a valid Serve Right certificate and prior banquet or hotel experience. The role requires stamina for standing and lifting, with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Serve Right Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or hotel experience is an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move banquet equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests during banquet and catering events.
• Set up and teardown banquet rooms according to event specifications and hotel standards.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Maintain presentation of tables, buffet stations, and service areas throughout events.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests and concerns.
• Collaborate with Banquet Team, Kitchen Team, and Event Coordinators for successful events.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
• Review Banquet Event Order (BEO) before events to understand requirements and VIP needs.
• Support additional similar duties as required.

Reporting to the Banquet Manager and Supervisor, the Banquet Server will be responsible for ensuring guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining hotel standards.

What you will be doing as a Banquet Server:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests during banquet and catering events;
• Set up and teardown banquet rooms according to event specifications and hotel standards;
• Serve food and beverages in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner;
• Ensure tables, buffet stations, and service areas are maintained throughout events;
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests and concerns;
• Work collaboratively with the Banquet Team, Kitchen Team, and Event Coordinators to ensure successful event execution;
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health and safety procedures;
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times;
• Review the Banquet Event Order (BEO) prior to each event to understand event requirements, timelines, room setup, menu details, guest counts, and any special requests, including dietary restrictions, allergies, and VIP accommodations;
• Such other similar or related duties may be required from time to time.

Your experience and skills include

• Must have a valid Serve Right Certificate (or willingness to obtain);
• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or hotel experience is considered an asset;
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail;
