Job summary

Adams Steel Fabricators Ltd in Red Deer, Alberta is seeking a dedicated Driver to ensure customers receive orders on time and in full. You will load, transport, and deliver a variety of parts and pallets, while upholding safety and excellent service.

The role requires a valid Class 5 license, experience with bumper tow/gooseneck trailers, forklift operation, and strong communication. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and reliable navigation skills are essential to meet delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience hauling and backing up bumper tow or gooseneck trailers.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Previous delivery driver or similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.

Responsibilities

• Wrap orders on pallets and load onto the trailer using a forklift or by hand while ensuring correct item counts and order accuracy.
• Secure the load on the truck and/or trailer.
• Deliver packages to customers on time and provide excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports by capturing required delivery details and signatures.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met. Complete preventative maintenance as required.
• Communicate proactively with the production team regarding order statuses and any potential delivery issues.
