Job summary

Kenroc Building Materials Co. in Red Deer, Alberta is seeking a Material Handler to support safe, efficient deliveries and warehouse operations. Reporting to the Operational Leader, you will assist delivery drivers, help load and secure shipments, and help maintain accuracy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• GED required and at least one year of heavy lifting experience.
• Class 5 driver’s license is an asset.
• Fall restraint and/or customer service training is an asset.
• Repetitively lift up to 110 lbs.
• Effective communication with the delivery team, vendors and customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Understands and ensures consistent compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Understands load securement, working around equipment, and the material handler’s role in delivery.
• Repeatedly lifts heavy objects in a fast-paced environment.
• Safely uses delivery tools and equipment.
• Completes internal safety documentation with attention to detail.
• Takes direction well and works as part of a team.
