Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring Delivery Drivers in Nanaimo, BC to deliver groceries from store to customers with a focus on Always Customer First Service. You will drive a company vehicle, ensuring safety and timely service, while coordinating with the online shopping team for returns and refunds.

The role requires a BC Class 5 license, a clean driving record, Serving It Right certification, and customer service experience. You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and use GPS-enabled mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van and provide customer-first service.
• Collaborate with online shopping team and customer service to resolve returns/refund issues.
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely following traffic rules.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle to a high level of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Nanaimo, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver's license from BC.
• A clean driver's abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and \"let's get it done\" attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing. Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
