Job summary

Pattison Food Group is hiring a Delivery Driver for Save-On-Foods locations in Kamloops, BC. You will deliver groceries in a van and provide customer-first service, coordinating with the online shopping team to resolve issues and ensuring timely, safe deliveries.

A valid BC class 5 license and a clean abstract are required. We supply the company vehicle and cover gas, insurance, and maintenance costs, with pay of $18.25 per hour and weekly wages.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract.
• Current Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing.
• Comfort with driving deliveries in all weather and times.
• Proficient with mobile technology, GPS apps, and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van.
• Provide exceptional customer-first service.
• Coordinate with online shopping team to resolve customer service issues.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Operate delivery vehicle safely and follow road rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You will be responsible for: Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service. Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc. Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department. Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road. Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness. Other duties as assigned.

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.
• A clean driver’s abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing.
• Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
