Job summary

Pattison Food Group Ltd.’s Save-On-Foods division in Nanaimo, BC, is hiring Delivery Drivers to bring groceries from the store to customers’ doors. You will represent a trusted brand known for Always Customer First Service and operate a fully equipped van.

You will work with the online shopping team to resolve issues, maintain high standards for the Online Shopping Department, and ensure safe vehicle operation in all weather conditions. Training and perks accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Valid, full class 5 BC driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Proficiency with GPS and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van while providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Collaborate with the online shopping team and customer service to resolve returns, refunds, and service recovery cases.
• Meet or exceed operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and follow traffic regulations.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Nanaimo, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver's license from BC.
• A clean driver's abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing. Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
