Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Chilliwack, BC is hiring a Delivery Driver to bring groceries from store to door, using a fully equipped van and delivering with a customer-first approach.

You will work with online shopping and customer service teams to resolve issues, maintain vehicle and safety, and enjoy weekly pay, benefits eligibility, and educational reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Valid, full BC Class 5 driver’s license.
• Clean driver’s abstract.
• Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Proficiency with mobile technology including GPS applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van with excellent customer-first service.
• Collaborate with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve service recovery situations.
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Chilliwack, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.
• A clean driver’s abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing. Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
