Job summary

EMCO Corporation is seeking a Driver to load trucks, deliver to customer and vendor locations, and support the Profit Centre team. You will follow safety policies and regulations while building strong customer and vendor relationships and communicating needs back to management.

The position requires driving a delivery vehicle, knowledge of TDG and transport laws, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. Salary range reflects total compensation and benefits structure within a Canadian wholesale

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
• Possess a valid driver’s licence.
• A clean driver’s abstract that demonstrates good driving skills in compliance with company policy.
• Experience driving a truck and making deliveries.
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing driving motor vehicles and commercial vehicles subject to Provincial Ministry of Transportation regulations.
• Understanding of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
• Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle.
• Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
• Able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, or emergency situations.
• Ability to learn and operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and make deliveries and pickups at customer and vendor locations.
• Represent the Profit Centre in a professional manner and uphold our values.
• Build long-lasting customer and vendor relationships and provide sales leads.
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle and comply with safety guidelines.
• Complete pre-trip inspections and manage shipping documents as required.
• Unload materials at locations and obtain signatures.
• Support Profit Centre activities and assist team as needed.
