Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company vehicles to pick up, transport, and deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload packages, ensuring items are handled with care to avoid damage.
  • Verify and reconcile delivery information such as addresses, invoices, or delivery notes.
  • Maintain communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules, optimizing delivery efficiency and fuel usage.
  • Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Assist in warehouse operations when needed (sorting packages, staging deliveries, etc.).
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • At least 1‑year local driving experience.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role (logistics experience is an asset).
  • Ability to operate GPS and navigation apps confidently.
  • Basic record‑keeping or smartphone app usage skills for logging deliveries.
  • Good physical stamina.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends, evenings, and overtime when required.
