Job summary

Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd. in Richmond, BC, is hiring a Permanent, Full-Time Delivery Driver to join a fast-paced team focused on timely, accurate produce deliveries in the lower mainland.

Schedule runs Monday to Saturday with a 5:30 am start; salary is CAD 25 per hour and paid weekly. We offer health/dental benefits, RRSP matching, profit sharing, weekly paychecks and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Class 5 unrestricted driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changes in priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience driving a 3- or 5-ton truck is preferred.
• Basic understanding of the cold chain process is preferred.
• Basic understanding of technology is an asset.
• Knowledge of the food industry is an asset.
• Familiarity with routes and the lower mainland is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all produce products in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform and complete pre-truck inspection forms (i.e. check tires and fluid levels).
• Ensure the preloaded truck includes all tools for success during the route (pallet straps, hand cart, pen, clipboard, load bars and all necessary paperwork).
• Ensure refrigerated trucks maintain the required temperatures throughout the delivery.
• Accurately document and complete proof of delivery, driver delivery log and track the temperature of the truck.
• Handle customer complaints and returns of unwanted product.
• Collect cheques upon delivery.
• Follow computer-based RoadNet from Gordon Food Services.

Fresh Start Foods is currently hiring a full time Delivery Driver who is eager to work in a fast paced team oriented work environment in our Richmond , BC location.

Position: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Saturday (days off will be Sunday and one weekday)

Shift: 5:30 am to finish

Salary: $25/hr (paid on a weekly basis!)
