Job summary

Dyno Nobel, a global leader in the commercial explosives industry, seeks a Delivery Driver in Canada to ensure on-time delivery of products that meet contract specifications and to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction within a safe working environment.

You will deliver quality products, complete all required documentation, maintain vehicle safety, and comply with WHMIS and OHSA regulations while supporting safety initiatives and reporting incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class 3 – Valid DZ Driver License
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Some mechanical knowledge
• Highly self-disciplined and able to work unsupervised

Responsibilities

• Deliver products on time to our customers as ordered.
• Accurately and fully complete all required documentation and reports within time requirements.
• Ensure delivery trucks are in good mechanical condition for safe delivery and storage of explosive materials.
• Support vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
• Comply with all safety regulations and use PPE when exposed to hazardous materials.

What You’ll Do

The Delivery Driver, you will provide customers with on-time delivery of the product that is consistently within contract specifications, as well as ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction with respect to both product and service within a safe working environment. Other duties will include:

• Deliver quality products, on time to our customers as ordered.
• Accurately and fully complete all required documentation and reports within time requirements.
• Ensure that delivery trucks are in good mechanical condition for the safe delivery and storage of explosive materials.
• Support vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
• Correctly use workplace hazard controls and PPE when exposed to hazardous materials, environments, and procedures.
• Comply with all regulatory, health and safety requirements and support the HSE Performance Standards in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of all employees, company assets, and the environment.
• Participate in safety meetings, read safety documents (safety alerts, emergency plans, etc.) and report all accidents, incidents, and precautionary concerns (i.e. weather & road conditions, truck conditions, and customer issues) immediately.
• Make certain that all regulations, both federally (Explosives Act, Bulk Regulations, WHIMIS) and provincially (OHSA) are adhered to within the operation in regards to personnel workings, product storage, and product transportation.
• Attend specified training & development, and maintain required certifications.

What We’re Looking For:

• Grade 12 Diploma
• Must have a Class 3 - Valid DZ Driver License (asset)
• Some mechanical knowledge
• Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly self-disciplined and able to work unsupervised
• Strong capabilities in multi-tasking and prioritizing
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
