Job summary

Central Saskatchewan Co-operative in Humboldt is hiring a Permanent Part Time Deli Clerk for our Humboldt Food Store. You will prepare deli products, price items, operate scales and slicer, and maintain a clean, safe work area. The role includes stocking, unloading freight, merchandising, and ensuring health & safety standards are met.

Flexibility to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends is expected. A Food Safe certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in customer service is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Food Safe Certificate is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Food prep including slicing and pricing deli products and operating scales and slicer.
• Stocking, unloading freight, and merchandise assortment in the store.
• Maintain merchandising, production, and health & safety standards.

What you'll do

• Food Prep - Prepare, slice and price deli products and operate printer, scales, and slicer.
• Stocking Unload freight, stock and merchandise products within the store.
• Ensure merchandising, production, and health & safety standards are maintained.
• General department duties - housekeeping, opening, closing, ordering, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities

• You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
• You have retail experience in the areas of customer service and merchandising (considered an asset)
• You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
• You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50lbs, climb ladders and kneel
• You have or are willing to obtain a Food Safe Certificate
