TPD® Workforce Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing facility to hire a Machine Shop Leadhand for a day-shift position in Edmonton, Canada.

The role combines hands-on CNC machining and programming (about 20%) with 80% leadership, process optimization, and bottleneck resolution. Ideal candidates have 5+ years CNC experience, 1+ year leadership, Alberta Journeyman/Red Seal, and a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• 1+ year of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC programming and both CNC and manual machining.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize the day-shift machine shop team.
• Coordinate with Foreman, Production, and Engineering on capacity and priorities.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Perform hands-on CNC machining and programming as required.
• Ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement and provide mentorship.
