Job summary

ChampionX in Edmonton, AB is hiring a CNC Setup Operator for permanent, full-time work on rotating day/afternoon/night shifts. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, inspect parts, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure quality paperwork is complete.

Applicants should have 2+ years in CNC, blueprints reading, and experience with Okuma/HAAS/Fanuc controls. The role requires strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow lean manufacturing guidelines while

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a CNC operator role.
• Able to read blueprints and drawings.
• Able to read and understand basic programming.
• Working knowledge of G & M codes.
• Experience with Okuma, HAAS and Fanuc controls.
• Understanding of measuring equipment.
• Organized, flexible and able to multi-task.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Computer Numerically Controlled Machine.
• Perform set-ups on the machine according to the production schedule.
• Perform visual and gauging inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Troubleshoot as required.
• Complete all associated paperwork, including quality plans and cleaning plans.
• Operate multiple asset production cell.
• Work in a safe manner, follow all rules and regulations.
• Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines.
