The Day Cleaner is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Centre’s clinical treatment areas, public reception, and public areas are kept clean and disinfected. They will maintain the placement of clinical treatment area furnishings and provide other cleaning assistance as required. The Day Cleaner promotes infection prevention through everyday work. This is a casual position covering the duties of the Day Cleaner during vacations and/or sick leave, approximately 30-40 days per year.

The incumbent has discretion within practices and procedures outlined in policies, manuals, and supervisory review.

Minimum qualifications include:
Successful completion of the Environmental Services for Front Line Staff course through the Ontario Healthcare Housekeeping Association within the first year of employment.
