Job summary

Remco in Mississauga is seeking a WMS Solutions Consultant to work with IT and operations to deploy warehouse management system enhancements within project timelines. You will provide level 2 technical support, assist with user training, onboarding, and integration tasks, and document system specifications and workflows to support Go-live activities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 3 years in 3PL/logistics with WMS experience including SQL/Oracle/C++

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with IT personnel and the operational user community to identify and deploy WMS functional solutions to business implementation needs within project timelines.
• Providing level 2 technical support by responding to inquiries and Help Desk tickets regarding problems, or questions about the WMS applications.
• Provide technical assistance to facilitate WMS user training, including analyzing and providing technical inputs for training materials, and assist with qualification and certification of WMS users before and after training.
• Participate and lead customer onboarding, integration and solution delivery requests.
• Understanding 'behind-the-scenes' details of the WMS technical landscape including databases, graphical user interfaces (screen layouts), RF/mobile device workflows, printed outputs reports and carton labels, and interfaces with other systems.
• Consulting with users and customers to gather information (discovery) about WMS functional requirements, including needs, objectives, features, and input and output requirements.
• Defining and documenting discovered requirements for data, and workflow processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external data validation, and outputs.
• Participate in project activities to migrate warehouse locations and customers from current to Next-Generation WMS platform, including gap analysis, design, development/configuration, training, test planning, test script development, migration, acceptance test tasks and go-live support.
• Develop documentation of systems, policies, procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Minimum 3 years of work experience providing technical and software solutions in a 3PL, logistics, warehousing, distribution environment
• Certified MS SQL, Oracle or C++
• Understanding of EDI transactions and their integration with warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound processes
• Understanding shipping and transportation execution systems, including carrier integrations, rate shopping, shipment processing.
• Experience in reporting tools like SSRS and CrystalReport/Business Objects
• Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System, EDI design and mapping preferably with DATEX or 3PL Central and Boomi
• Previous experience with HighJump Warehouse Advantage is a definite asset
• Exposure to Labor management systems (LMS) will be an asset
