Job summary

Extendicare, based in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Products to lead a small team building trusted, AI-ready data products powering analytics, reporting, and agentic workflows across the enterprise.

You will define what data is trusted, how it is defined, and how it is made consumable, starting with people and workforce data as the anchor domain, while collaborating with IT, Privacy, and the Analytics & AI teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years hands-on experience in data management, data quality, data engineering, or analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Stats/Engineering/Math or related field; advanced degree an asset.
• People leadership experience mentoring staff and building teams.
• Strong SQL proficiency and ability to profile, query, and validate data.
• Product thinking: treating data as a product with consumers and quality standards.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and drive accountability across boundaries.
• Clear communication to non-technical audiences and strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and own priority data products with defined trust criteria.
• Profile, monitor, and validate data quality; detect anomalies.
• Create data quality pipelines and consumable datasets for analytics and AI.
• Lead cross-functional data governance group; establish standards.
• Design data products for AI readiness with business context.
• Develop and grow a small team, including a Data & Analytics Engineer.
• Coordinate with IT and Privacy on governance tools and privacy controls.
• Support a Data Analytics Community of Practice and governance assets.
• Advise CDAKO and executive leadership on domain sequencing and scope.
