Job summary

Spring Financial, a Canadian fintech, is hiring a Data Platform Engineer II in Vancouver. You will deliver scalable data infrastructure across AWS and Snowflake, Own end-to-end data platform components, and apply AI capabilities to testing and tooling.

You will partner with Finance, Risk, Product, Analytics, and Engineering to meet SLAs with secure, observable data and practical platform improvements in a hybrid downtown Vancouver setting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience building data pipelines.
• Experience designing secure, scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS-native tools (Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions).
• Experience with real-time data systems (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Spark Streaming).
• Able to communicate clearly with engineering and business partners.
• Track record delivering end-to-end data projects with business value.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platform components across AWS and Snowflake.
• Integrate AI capabilities into data pipelines and development practices.
• Collaborate with Analytics, ML, Finance, and other teams to meet latency, accuracy, and governance needs.
• Contribute to design discussions, reviews, and evolution of data architecture.
