Job summary

OpenTable in Toronto is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and maintain data pipelines powering diner features, partner integrations, and AI initiatives. You’ll work with Product Managers, BI Analysts, SREs, and Product Engineers to deliver scalable data products in a hybrid office setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building, testing, deploying, monitoring production data systems.
• Experience with data engineering principles and software design.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; Java or other typed language helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, BI, SREs, and engineers to govern data services.
• Build pipelines delivering insights on guest behavior, revenue, and ops.
• Develop data integrations with external partners and AI initiatives.
• Monitor production systems for performance and data availability.
• Support AI work streams including generative content summarization.
