Job summary

BigGeo Inc. in Calgary is seeking a Data Partner Manager to drive the recruitment of high-value spatial data providers and to structure platform credit commitments.

You will lead end-to-end negotiations, co-sell with partners to expand their customer base on the platform, and monitor partner performance to maximize adoption. This is an in-person role at an early-stage spatial data company.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in partner development, data commercialization, marketplace sales, or enterprise business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to run a full commercial sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, negotiation, contract close, and post-close relationship management.
  • Experience with marketplace, partner, or data distribution models — you understand how to sell to a provider and then co-sell alongside them to expand their customer reach.
  • Comfort working with technical concepts — you don’t need to write spatial queries, but you need to understand what makes a dataset valuable to an enterprise end customer.
  • Experience in data, geospatial, infrastructure, SaaS, or adjacent domains is a strong plus.
  • High autonomy and self-direction — this is an early role at an early company; you are building the partner playbook from scratch.
  • Excellent commercial communication: you will be pitching data owners on a credit commitment and monetization model most have never encountered before

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit high-value spatial data providers across target verticals: geospatial, mobility, demographic, satellite-derived, environmental, POI, and property data.
  • Lead end-to-end partner recruitment from initial outreach through commercial negotiation and contract execution.
  • Structure each partner’s platform credit commitment — minimum subscription level, overage rates, and credit distribution model for registered customers.
  • Work with each partner to define their dataset DTC pricing — translating rows-returned volume into a revenue model they can understand and forecast.
  • Build the business case for prospective partners: platform credit ROI, DTC revenue potential, and the registered customer distribution opportunity.
  • Actively co-sell alongside data providers to help them expand their market reach — bringing their existing customers onto BigGeo as registered users who can query their datasets through the platform
  • Support partners in positioning BigGeo to their customers: how platform credits work, what spatial workflows are possible, and how to get to first value quickly
  • Help partners build their registered customer onboarding motion — pitch materials, credit allocation strategy, and customer success frameworks
  • Track registered customer activation and consumption; identify partners whose customers are underleveraging their credit allocation and work with the partner to address it
  • Serve as each partner’s primary commercial relationship within BigGeo post-launch
  • Monitor partner platform credit consumption and DTC revenue performance; proactively identify underperforming partners and develop plans to stimulate activity
  • Coordinate with the Enterprise Sales team to understand which dataset types are in demand from direct customers, and prioritize partner recruitment accordingly
  • Feed intelligence back to product: what partners and their customers struggle to use, what capabilities are limiting consumption growth, what datasets are being requested
  • Analyze platform usage and customer engagement data, and surface insights that shape account strategy.
  • Prepare executive business reviews, customer success plans, and adoption reports with greater depth and speed.
  • Draft and refine customer communications, playbooks, and internal documentation.
  • Synthesize customer feedback into structured inputs for product and engineering.
  • Automate repetitive tasks across Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and other internal systems so your time stays focused on customers.
  • Experiment with new AI-driven workflows and share what works with the rest of the team.
  • We do not expect you to be an AI engineer; you should be curious, disciplined, and actively using AI to multiply your impact.
