Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking an Analyst, Data Insights & Business Transformation to support client onboarding, governance, and data-enabled decisions across Capital Markets. You will gather requirements, document user stories, coordinate testing, and drive data quality improvements with cross-functional teams.

Hybrid work arrangement, 1-3 days on-site; 2–4 days remote. Ideal candidate has 1–3 years in business/data analysis, AML/KYC knowledge, and a degree in business, finance, or data analytics,

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in business/data analysis, client onboarding, or change delivery in financial services or equivalent.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, or functional documentation.
• Knowledge of AML/KYC, client lifecycle data, regulatory requirements, Data Governance or other controlled data environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to adapt to new tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data validation and exception investigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Support intake, requirements coordination, testing, and issue resolution with business and tech partners.
• Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, remediation, and investigations to support client lifecycle and governance.
• Coordinate RFIs, audits, regulatory inquiries, and management requests with traceable documentation.
• Assist with process improvements, data remediation, and control enhancements.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
