Job summary

Toronto Metropolitan University’s Magnet team seeks a Manager, Data and Evaluation to lead data analysis, research, evaluation and reporting. You will provide BI expertise to develop and maintain Magnet’s reporting platforms.

You will oversee data collection, analytics, warehousing and visualization, unifying data from multiple sources to support decision-making for internal stakeholders and external partners in a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline; economics, geography, public policy, statistics, etc.
• 5+ years in public policy, employment support, economic development, or workforce consulting
• 5+ years of managerial experience
• Experience writing provincial or federal funding applications
• Experience with BI tools, data visualization, and data analytics

Responsibilities

• Develop data and insight strategy and data models
• Promote best practices in data management and BI, ensure data integrity
• Manage data storage, platforms, and lifecycle; troubleshoot issues
• Lead data-related projects, integrate new data sources
• Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation
• Oversee data lifecycle from collection to visualization and reporting
