Senior Technical Recruiter & Talent Acquisition Specialist, CHRL Candidate
Overview:
The Data Specialist will report to the Data Analytics Manager and collaborate closely with various investment and corporate teams to support decision-making through analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report and Insight Delivery: Support the team in delivering key reports, insights, and visualizations based on business priorities.
- Data Analysis: Work closely with the team to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Data Pipeline Development: Create data pipelines to capture data from multiple sources and formats.
- Data Preparation and Modeling: Prepare and model data to enable easy consumption for reporting purposes.
- Report Implementation: Develop well-designed, scalable, and automated reports using current and emerging technologies.
- Data Visualization: Visualize data and metrics to produce insightful reports following design standards.
- Practice Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements in data analytics practices.
- Status Reporting: Participate in status meetings and communicate progress as appropriate.
- Innovation and Experimentation: Experiment with Large Language Models, assist in developing predictive analyses, and/or Gen-AI applications.
- Data Architecture Contribution: Contribute to the design and implementation of data foundations and architecture to support long-term analytical needs.
- Independent Research: Research potential solutions to programming challenges independently.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with technological trends and continuously upgrade personal, technical, and IT-related skills.
- Problem Solving: Utilize innovative approaches to identify, analyze, and solve complex data challenges, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical information into clear, concise insights for non-technical stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. A minor or advanced degree in Finance is an asset.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in business-oriented data analytics.
Skills and Attributes:
- Passion for data analysis and problem-solving to support investment decision-making.
- Self-motivated with the ability to conduct independent research.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with investment and technology teams.
- Desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Spark, and Databricks.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and related services.
- High degree of interest in investment and asset management.
- Experience in the full cycle of analytics solution development.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
