Job summary

Capital Power is seeking a Summer Student for the Data Centre Solutions team to support commercialization of power solutions for data centers across North America. You will assist in identifying and advancing origination opportunities, analyzing market data, and preparing proposals under supervision.

Reporting to analysts, you will collaborate with Commercial, Engineering, Operations, and Investor Relations teams, gaining exposure to market analysis, financial modeling, and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, political science, policy & government relations, engineering, or related field.
• Education or work experience equivalency may be considered.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Draft and refine customer-facing materials, including proposals, presentations, and contracts.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Regulatory, Government Relations, Engineering, Investor Relations to answer inquiries and provide insights on data center development.
• Analyze market data to generate insights for business development.
• Research trends in U.S. and Canadian energy and data center markets.
• Maintain databases of customer information, market trends, and deal opportunities.
• Assist with meeting preparation, follow-ups, and documentation.
