Job summary

Mycionics Inc is seeking a versatile Data Analytics & Backend Engineer in Kitchener, ON, to build the backbone of our data ecosystem. You will manage PostgreSQL databases, develop backend pipelines, and create initial visualization tools for real-time farm performance insights.

The role is hybrid-ish in approach, with opportunities for end-to-end data workflow ownership, and collaboration with AI and hardware teams across our mechatronics projects.

Qualifications

• Graduation in CS/DS/Engineering or related field with strong experience.
• Proven backend/data work experience (1–2+ years) or strong project portfolio.
• Strong Python data manipulation with Pandas.

Responsibilities

• Database Management: Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL infrastructure.
• Backend Development: Build data processing pipelines for analytics.
• Data Visualization: Create dashboards/front-end visuals for end-users.
• Analytics Strategy: Define metrics for farm optimization and implement computations.
• System Integration: Interface local data collection with central database.
