Job summary

Symplytics is seeking a hands-on Data & AI Engineer to own the end-to-end data lifecycle for clients, from ingestion to AI-ready modeling. You will build scalable ETL pipelines and dashboards in Qlik Analytics, ensuring clean, reliable data for executive reporting and AI workflows.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Qlik Analytics expertise, and experience with modern BI tools. Toronto-based, on-site collaboration with clients and teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data platform management, ETL development, and business intelligence.
• Strong experience with Qlik Analytics (Qlik Sense, Qlik Cloud, or Qlik Data Integration), including custom scripting, data modeling, and dashboard creation.
• Data & ETL stack: expert proficiency in SQL and relational databases; hands-on data transformation pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern analytics platforms like Omni Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau is a strong asset.
• Experience integrating data from APIs, webhooks, and cloud sources from CRMs/ERPs/financial tools.
• Proactive, detail-oriented mindset for debugging data discrepancies and optimizing pipeline performance.
• End-to-end data ecosystems from ingestion to AI integration; cross-functional collaboration.
