Job summary

Raise is seeking a Data Analyst to join the platform team in Toronto, focusing on ServiceNow CMDB optimization, data governance, and lifecycle management. You will ensure CMDB health across ITOM/ITAM/ITSM, manage certificate inventories, and drive metric-based reporting.

The role requires 5+ years with ServiceNow CMDB, ITIL proficiency, and CSA certification. The position is hybrid in Toronto with a 4-month contract, targeting strong data quality and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Data Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience with ServiceNow CMDB and related modules.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes: CMDB, ITAM, ITOM, ITSM.
• Proficient in configuring CMDB classes, relationships, and integrations.
• Expertise in CMDB lifecycle management aligned with CSDM.
• Experience maintaining CMDB health (target: 95% accuracy).
• Ability to manage certificate inventory and related ServiceNow flows.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideRecord.
• Preferred certifications: CAD, Certified Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM).

Responsibilities

• To be part of the platform team to support the optimization, automation, and governance of ServiceNow CMDB and related modules, ensuring CMDB health and data integrity across ITOM, ITAM, and ITSM processes. This includes managing certificate inventory, aligning with CSDM and ServiceNow best practices, and maintaining audit readiness through accurate lifecycle visibility, stakeholder collaboration, and metric-driven reporting

Qualifications

Mandatory Certification: ServiceNow CSA certification is required. Candidates must provide the email address associated with the certification for verification.

Deliverables

CMDB & Data Quality

• Configuration and maintenance of CMDB classes, relationships, and attributes aligned with CSDM standards. Ongoing monitoring and reporting of CMDB health metrics (correctness, completeness, compliance) with a target of 95%. Identification and resolution of data quality issues, including stale and duplicate discovery tasks. Integration of data feeds from ITOM, ITAM, and ITSM to ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness.

Service Mapping & CSDM Alignment

• Implementation and optimization of Service Mapping to establish accurate serviceto-infrastructure relationships. Alignment of CMDB structure with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) for standardized service modeling
• Mapping of business services to technical components to support impact analysis and operational visibility.
• Automation & Integration Development of automated workflows for CI updates, reconciliation, and lifecycle transitions. Integration of CMDB with discovery tools, monitoring systems, and external data sources. Support for Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, and Notifications to streamline CMDB operations.

Certificate Inventory Management

• Configuration and management of certificate inventory within ServiceNow. Integration of certificate data into CMDB for visibility, compliance tracking, and lifecycle management. Automation of certificate renewal workflows and expiration alerts.
• Governance & Compliance Facilitation of governance discussions with stakeholders to ensure data ownership and integrity. Creation of compliance checklists and audit readiness documentation (e.g., AG audit requirements). Development of support handover documents, knowledge articles, and CMDB usage guidelines.

Documentation & Testing

• Delivery of integration blueprints, API documentation, and CMDB architecture diagrams. Creation of test plans, UAT scripts, and sign-off artifacts for CMDB-related enhancements. Maintenance of operational documentation for CMDB processes and best practices.
