Job summary

Infotek Consulting Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst with Capital Markets experience to support the maintenance, accuracy and reconciliation of client, account and reference data across trading and settlement systems.

This is an operational data management role, not a data science or development position, with a focus on data quality, controls and onboarding workflows in a hybrid Toronto environment.

Job description

Seeking a Data Analyst with Capital Markets experience to support the maintenance, accuracy and reconciliation of client, account and reference data across trading and settlement systems.

This is an operational data management role, rather than a data science or development position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain client, account and reference data across Capital Markets front and back-office systems.
• Ensure accounts and related data are accurately maintained across trading, settlement and data repositories.
• Review data reconciliations and investigate discrepancies and exceptions.
• Perform root cause analysis on data-quality issues.
• Maintain accurate setups and updates across electronic trading systems.
• Support client data and KYC activities related to onboarding.
• Manage data requests from multiple Capital Markets business areas.
• Maintain data attributes related to operational and regulatory requirements.
• Produce operational metrics and support data-quality reporting.
• Work with business, technology and data-management teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and operational processes.

Must-Have Requirements

• Previous Capital Markets experience and a good understanding of traditional Capital Markets products.
• Experience managing client, account, party or reference data within trading and/or settlement systems.
• Understanding of Capital Markets operational processes and trade flows.
• Strong reconciliation, data-quality and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Data management experience within an Investment Bank.
• Electronic trading platform experience.
• Bloomberg knowledge.
• Client onboarding or KYC data experience.
• Process improvement/change management experience.
• Training provided through procedures and job shadowing.
