Job description

Our Client is seeking seven (7) Data Analysts to work on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects. The Data Analysts will be part of cross-functional teams involved in activities such as field research, backlog refinement, and sprint planning. These projects aim to review current services, identify future opportunities, and deliver efficient, effective, and affordable new services.

We are looking for a talented and versatile Data Analyst with a strong foundation in data engineering practices and analytical skills to derive actionable insights. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining data pipelines and architectures, and performing detailed data analysis to support business decisions.

The primary work location is remote, with possible attendance at meetings or work sessions in Edmonton on reasonable notice. Travel expenses to and from Edmonton will be covered by the client. Some travel within Alberta for field research and user interviews may be required, with arrangements made at no cost to the client. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, and all work must be performed within Canada.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2. At least 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role.
3. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage), or Azure (Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage), focusing on deploying scalable data solutions and optimizing data pipelines (2+ years).
4. Experience with data marts, data warehousing, and BI tools (2+ years).
5. Experience querying data with Microsoft Transact-SQL Server (4+ years).
6. Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, with hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines from multiple sources into data warehouses (2+ years).
