Job summary

City of Surrey is seeking a Dance Instructor to teach at Clayton Community Centre, focusing on age-appropriate dance activities and a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for learners of all ages.

The role requires completion of Grade 12 plus at least one year of dance instruction experience, with current First Aid/CPR-C with AED. The position is non-union, auxiliary, and paid at an hourly rate of $27.31.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate an engaging and educational dance experience, emphasizing both technique and artistic expression, while maintaining a secure and inclusive atmosphere.
• Set up and clean up of each class.
• Provide constructive feedback to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and building their confidence in dance skills and artistry.

SCOPE

The City of Surrey is looking for an enthusiastic and creative dance Instructor to teach at Clayton Community Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging performing art professional. You will be able to support and create a vibrant and welcoming environment for visitors to learn and engage with performing arts at Clayton Community Centre.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reliable, patient, enthusiastic and enjoy working with people and children of all ages.
• Completion of High 5 – Principles of Healthy Child Development.
