Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree relevant to providing services to people with disabilities.
• Working toward or holding a relevant professional certification, such as CCDP, RRP, or CVRP.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Employment Services or Vocational Rehabilitation with people with disabilities.
• Experience assessing complex client needs in areas including physical limitations, developmental disabilities, mobility, cognitive, social, and emotional barriers.
• Familiarity with career counselling and vocational rehabilitation methods; assessment, service planning, job search skills, job analysis, and job placement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to document and maintain records and prepare reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ICM is an asset.
• Successful candidates must pass a Criminal Record Check.
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Accept referrals and review client plans and documentation from the referral source.
• Work with adults with disabilities and employment barriers to identify barriers, develop strategies, and refer clients to additional services or assessments.
• Provide employment and motivational counselling.
• Deliver Customized Employment services including Discovery Assessments, Employment Profiles, Job Carving, and on-site Job Coaching.
• Liaise with employers for Job Development to secure paid employment for job seekers with barriers.
• Case manage services to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Complete required service reports.
• Meet quality service standards for client satisfaction, timely service delivery, and employment outcomes.
• Travel as required for Discovery, Job Development, Job Coaching, and Sustainment Services.
• Work some evenings and weekends as required.
