Reporting to the Vice President of Sales Operations, the Customer Support Representative will assist the Ontario account management team by coordinating customer tenders, managing opportunities in our SRM tool, reviewing customer terms & conditions with legal and insurers, resolving order issues, and maintaining ongoing communication with customers and factories.

How you’ll make an impact
  1. Collaborate with Account Managers, Regional Industry Sales Managers, sales agents, and Business Units to serve as the primary interface for customers.
  2. Support regional 3rd Party Agents.
  3. Contribute to the Front End Sales team by promoting and selling products and services to meet regional and channel objectives.
  4. Coordinate RFQs and bid submissions efficiently with Business Units.
  5. Respond to customer inquiries via phone and written communication regarding information, quotations, and order follow-ups.
  6. Filter and escalate high-potential leads to the Regional Sales Director, acting as the main contact for customers.
  7. Build and sustain strong customer and internal relationships.
  8. Identify opportunities for new tools and processes to enhance customer support.
  9. Utilize group tools for market feedback, including pricing and competitor activities.
  10. Proactively manage customer satisfaction and address dissatisfaction issues.
  11. Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background
  1. Minimum 5 years of customer-facing experience.
  2. Sales experience is advantageous.
  3. An Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  4. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams including customers and internal units.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  6. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  7. Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  8. Knowledge of Sales Force CRM is a plus.
