Job summary

QuadReal Property Group, operating through QuadReal Self Storage Management, is seeking a Customer Service / Retail Associate at a storage facility in the Toronto area. You will assist clients, rent units, process payments, upsell moving supplies, and maintain the property.

We value teamwork, strong communication, and a positive attitude. A high school diploma is preferred, with a background in customer service/retail.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and retail sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to select storage solutions and upsell moving supplies.

Role Description

• Work with our clients to recommend the very best solutions for their storage needs.
• Provide outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and by email.
• Follow-up on inquiries, confirm reservations, rent storage units, prepare rental documentation, and update the client database.
• Sell/upsell high-quality retail merchandise such as boxes, locks, and other moving supplies.
• Complete daily administrative duties and reports.
• Collect rental payments and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
• Perform daily inspections of rental units to ensure that they are clean, properly locked and client-ready.
• Maintain property appearance by cleaning spaces, sweeping, removing debris, organizing moving carts, etc.

Experience & Qualifications

• A High School diploma and/or some post-secondary education
• A proven background in customer service and retail sales.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and pride in your work.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to work weekends.

The expected hourly range for this role is $19 – $21.

Based on the position, QuadReal offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to the base pay, which may include a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, pension plan, and paid time off.
