Job summary

Farm Boy is hiring a Customer Service Associate to help deliver our welcoming fresh shopping experience in Pickering, Ontario. You’ll greet customers, provide product knowledge, stock shelves, and maintain clean, safe displays throughout your shift.

We value teamwork, reliability, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Fluency in English is required; French is considered an asset. Training and benefits are provided, plus employee discounts and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Retail experience is an asset; education/experience may qualify.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform lifting.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• English fluency; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, engaging customer service reflecting Farm Boy standards.
• Assist customers with product knowledge and store navigation.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise with accurate signage.
• Keep areas clean, safe, and organized; perform housekeeping duties.
• Follow Health & Safety and Food Safety policies.
• Support opening and closing procedures and assist teammates.
• Take on periodic additional duties as needed.

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Complete designated opening and closing procedures and support fellow Team Members as needed.
• Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.

• Retail experience is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• The ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
